The Paralyzed Veterans of America (Wisconsin Chapter) outing at Salmon‑A‑Rama in Racine, sponsored by CNH Industrial and Master Services is a heartwarming annual event that gives veterans with spinal cord injuries or neurological conditions—or those living with MS/ALS—a day on Lake Michigan to fish, relax, and enjoy community support.
2025 event: Tuesday, July 15, departing from Reefpoint Marina in Racine.
🎣 What the Day Includes
Charter boats provided to anglers for a morning of fishing.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments served aboard and shoreside.
Smoked fish from Turtle Creek Homes, trophies, fun prizes and a festive atmosphere.
🎖 Sponsored by CNH
CNH Industrial covers key expenses, ensuring participants recieve a VIP
experience—boating, meals, and prizes are all on Master
Services Tab.
👥 Community & Volunteer Involvement
Dozens of disabled veterans join, supported by volunteer captains and charter crews—some from
Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha and
local fire/paramedic teams.
There’s often special entertainment like live music, raffles, and the weigh‑in.
❤️ Significance
Builds on a collaboration that
Dates back to at least 2021, originally organized with Salmon Unlimited Wisconsin to honor veterans
and support Lake Michigan fisheries.
Promotes inclusion, enjoyment, and recognition for veterans while raising public awareness.
If you’re interested in joining or helping (as a volunteer, captain, sponsor, or charter operator), you can register through PVA‑WI’s event page or contact Salmon Unlimited. It’s a wonderful chance to contribute to an uplifting experience that veterans—and their communities—truly appreciate.
